Let’s talk about the menu and Valentine’s Day!
I’ve gotten several inquiries about what exactly a vanilla starter is. So let's talk about vanilla. Vanilla isn’t just about adding a vanilla flavor to an item. It’s also about rounding out other flavors. It’s the perfect partner to almost everything. Vanilla can be very expensive and a while back I noticed the quality of my store bought vanilla hadn’t been the same. After doing some research I found that many companies are watering down their vanilla and/or reusing beans to ...the extent of losing most of their aroma and flavor. Sometimes beans would be used four times before being retired! Can you imagine how much better it would be with perfect, fresh, unused beans!? I decided it was way past time for me to start making my own at home and after about a year of doing so, I wanted to make sure to make it available for my customers as well. This vanilla starter will not fully cure for 6 months. We need to let the beans infuse for a minimum of 8 weeks but for maximum quality, let it sit 6 months to a year. Now, that’s the vanilla part. What makes it a starter? Well, this is just the beginning. You can keep this vanilla for years! Simply top it off with new rum when it starts running low. And replace the beans every year or so! So what are you getting exactly? You’re getting a 10 oz double-fold Tahitian vanilla made with rum (I like it’s sweetness over vodka) starter. $30 We are currently giving our local customers an opportunity to shop the pantry before we start shipping in a few weeks.

We’ve been hard at work over here despite our mechanical issue! Starter vanillas, a pantry full of olive oil from my favorite city in Italy, baked penne pasta, and chicken pot pies in progress as we speak! Next week is going to be a great week!
I told y’all we’d be adding some things to next week’s menu and I have a sneak peek now! Sausage, egg, and cheese sliders on maple glazed rolls should hit the spot on these cool mornings!
My fantastic team and I are ALWAYS looking for more ways to satisfy your cravings! Today we did a test run on an idea for charcuterie lunches! Lasagna and cake pick up!
Due to a mechanical issue we are closed for the week. We want to always prioritize the health, safety, and welfare of our family and staff! HOWEVER, keep an eye on the page for updates on next week’s menu! We have some great stuff! And the pantry is getting stocked as we speak! Starter vanillas are ready! We can’t wait to see y’all next week!

I’m not saying we've been busy...I'm just saying there are more than 50 lasagnas in this walk-in fridge!
We will have pickups for pre-paid lasagnas and cakes (pre-orders have closed) on Tuesday. Other than that we’re closed for 2020. Our plans over here are to work on Dolce Darlin’ plans, finish unpacking boxes, and spending time together before Big D goes back to school. We are so excited for all the things that we’ll be offering in the new year and I’ll be sharing ideas and plans with y’all throughout the holiday! ... Merry Christmas!

This was literally the only picture I got of us at Trunk-or-Treat tonight! The seagulls were the hit with their squawking and ‘mines’. They had all the kids laughing and what’s better than that? I was so excited to see so many of y’all and to meet a few folks from here that I hadn’t met yet! Thanks for stopping by to see me!

The good news is we have a buuunnncchhh of HCBs AND Little d was not in charge of decorating them! The bad news is today is the last day to get them before Christmas! We can’t wait to see y’all at 10!
A little update! Day 36-
We’ve had another awesome day!!! We’re sold out and off to work on making a TON of cocoa bombs!!! See y’all tomorrow at 10!
The guys and I are working on the back loading dock this morning. We started around 7 and needed provisions. I found two mugs. This is actually not the first time I’ve had coffee out of a solo cup. In the words of Meatloaf, two out of three ain’t bad. My entertaining skills are minimal right now but you do what you’ve gotta do!
