Dear Friends, Fans and Family of The Learning Tea, We hope everyone is staying safe through these difficult times. Our Taste of India to-go dinner is this Monday, October 26th and we hope to see all of your smiling faces. We still have plenty of tickets available. If you are not able to attend this month please consider making a donation to the Learning Tea. Our landlord family in Darjeeling who are in their 70’s and their son and daughter in law were admitted into the hosp...ital in Darjeeling for Covid. The son has been released but his wife who has recently undergone treatment for breast cancer is still at the hospital along with his parents. This is a lovely family who has kept all of our Learning Tea students safe during their stay while attending college. Our Landlord family is asking for three months of house bills upfront to help with their medical costs. This would usually be something Dr. Bombay’s would immediately cover but as you all know small businesses, especially the restaurant industry has been hit hard during this pandemic and we are no exception. Our Learning Tea students are all healthy. Some of them have traveled back to their villages due to school closings. We are keeping close contact with them daily.
