I'll give you a few trinkets to think about while running for office. Politicians never take the time to understand anything besides the sound bites and hot top...ics in front of them. But if you will indulge..here are a few key basic points to run on: ( Big Picture) How do you create public private partnerships between civic government organizations and the businesses in your community....How do you attract companies looking for tax havens and opportunity zones to move their corporate locations for job creation. ( Amazon...Google, etc) How do you bring down the margin between people working and people incarcerated? More people in the workforce equals more in taxes and in the local economy. Property values will go up because of this as well. How do you support the local small business community? There is money out there with SCORE and the SBA to open a small business center to assist entrepreneurship in the community supported by credit unions and banks already sitting in Scotland county that is not being taken advantage of. Find something to do with the eyesore abandoned buildings left behind by the industrial region. The area needs rebranding with new industry and innovation..... long overdue. While you are at it..make Clinton Inn a historical landmark as well as the LBG institute ( Regardless of how you feel about it) I know most haven't even thought that far or know the first place to begin..while you running your mouth...but I digress.
