WELCOME ABOARD: Please help welcome Officer Bernard Peterson to the Duluth Police Department! Officer Peterson will join our team of Bailiffs in the Duluth Municipal Court. Officer Peterson comes to the #DPD after his 25-year career as a Deputy from the Dekalb County Sheriff's Office.

#TrafficTuesday: The most ticketed offense officers issued in 2020 was #SPEEDING. This law directs that no driver shall drive at a speed greater than is reasonable, or the posted speed limits. An example (for those that need an example) of this violation is driving your car OVER the posted speed limit. #PrettySimple Pro-Tip: If you don't want a speeding ticket, don't speed. If the posted speed limit sign says 45 MPH, go 45 MPH (unless weather permits otherwise, then slow down).
