PURIFIED = water comes from anywhere even from tap but has been filtered to remove impurities like bacteria, contaminants and dissolved solids making it suitable for drinking. ... SPRING = water is from an underground formation that flows to the surface naturally. To meet FDA standards, bottled spring water is required to be tested and filtered for any sediment. MINERAL = water is from underground that naturally contains minerals. The water cannot be subjected to any treatment, except for adding limited carbonation or removing iron before packaging. DISTILLED = water has been subjected to a treatment that removes all its minerals and salt by the process of reverse osmosis and distillation. It is an absolutely pure form of water but it is not typically recommended for drinking. SPARKLING = water that has undergone carbonation which makes the water fizzy just like sodas.
