The Episcopal Church of the Mediator 17.05.2021

I ordered this Blue Passion Flower vine months ago. It arrived just in time to plant during Passion Week. Fr. Bob read the Passion of Our Lord on Palm Sunday.... Individuals can pray the Stations of the Cross on Friday. This flower is the host plant for the Zebra Longwing Butterfly. Butterflies to me are the symbol of Resurrection. Thanks be to God for Nature and for our Church! See more

This is Us - March 28, 2021 - celebrating Palm Sunday...we have not shared a meal - either communion nor potluck supper - since March 4, 2020. We were all glad to see each other (even with masks) - we air-hugged, yelled across to each other (at a safe distance) - but, most important of all - we reaffirmed...THAT WE ARE STILL HERE!

Mediator Folks! We will have Palm Sunday Service - March 28th at the regular time. We will bless the palms outside - then go inside the Church. The Bishop has given the go ahead for indoor worship up to 75 people...if we had that many we would be ecstatic. PLAN TO BE THERE!

Thanks to Betsy...our little Church looks spectacular for this Christmas season. Even though we cannot be together - physically - we can all be together in prayer...O God, whose fatherly care reaches to the uttermost parts of the earth: We humbly beseech you graciously to behold and bless those whom we love, now absent from us. Defend them from all dangers of soul and body; and grant that both they and we, drawing nearer to you, may be bound together by your love in the communion of your Holy Spirt, and in the fellowship of your saints; through Jesus Christ our lord...Amen BCP

So...I went into the Church...as I do every week...and found that the Church had been all decked out for Advent. It was wonderful! Thank Charlie and Betsy for doing this. I told Betsy that the Church looked like it was expecting something...she said...maybe a miracle...I'm hoping for a time when we can all meet together. In the meantime - go inside and enjoy our little Church - and Rev. Dwight's gift of the Advent Star.
