Lips that lack volume and structure take time to build. It’s not one session and sometimes not even in two sessions. This client of mine started with a half of a syringe of filler. You have to build slowly so the lips have time to stretch and adjust accordingly. If too much filler is placed at one time, it migrates above the lip tissue and forms a filler mustache or duck lips. It’s Filler Friday! This beautiful patient wanted fuller lips. Two weeks prior, Botox was injected into the upper lip to help prevent filler migration and to show more of her upper before injecting with filler. This provides a more aesthetically pleasing look. WHAT IT IS: An injectable hyaluronic acid filler that is used for non surgical lip augmentation PROCEDURE TIME: 60 minutes ANESTHESIA: Topical numbing cream RECOVERY: Bruising is always possible so plan treatment at least 2 weeks ahead of any events.
