An update on COVID-19 and Electronic Home. First and foremost we are 100% committed to keeping our clients and employees safe. We ARE taking scheduled appointments and actively performing functions that have been deemed "ESSENTIAL".... Essential business as specified by the state includes home repairs, IT (Information Technology - networking & Internet) and things revolved around allowing people to both work and school from home. Under those guidelines we can perform Service Calls on existing products and installation PLUS we can design, install, configure and support networking and associated products and functions. IF you are experiencing network slowdowns and it is an internal LAN (Local Area Network) issue, we can help! If you are not sure if it is your internal LAN or your incoming signal from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), there are a few simple steps to help determine where the problem is. Many people only have wireless and that is OK! 2) Is there a particular time of day that you have the performance issues OR is it random OR is it ALL the time? 3) Who is your ISP? With Alexa having such a presence at CEDIA this year everyone was talking about having an Alexa "Skill". Releasing their API definitely put them in the lime light. This integration is just too funny, especially if you are already familiar with Big Mouth Billy Bass! When I read the e-mail last night I was so happy! This is really GREAT NEWS for anyone who appreciates the best quality presentation and the awesome GUI that started it all and that everyone else has tried unsuccessfully to master! Now, what I would love to see and what I think will sell: 1) Continue with the store as planned as it is the future!... 2) Allow the Strato Player to playback BLURAY discs stored on a Legacy System with a Vault so that you don't need two players per room. This is a MUST!!! This is what I believe was referenced as one of the features that just never happened, yet was announced. I have several sales waiting on this and it was promised first in the Spring, then early Summer, then..... 3) HDR Support both from the Store AND from UltraHD discs. 4) Forget about DVD support unless you already have done that. Sad news for those who like quality movie presentations.....Kaleidescape is closing down. We have been a dealer for over 12 years and have always felt that they were the standard others strive to compete with. Unfortunately, too many want simple and cheap and choose lower quality streaming. IF you have any movies out on the cloud that have been removed from your hard drive for space reasons, try to get them back ASAP as there is no guarantee that the Kaleidescape Store will remain online.
