To our Thursday and Friday Elite Customers, Needless to say, this week has been rough on us. Tuesday Elite Customers in Dawson County, Our Ford Truck was involved in a serious accident this morning on Highway 9. Both our driver and our slinger were transferred to the hospital via ambulance with minor injuries. The truck is totaled. Our other driver is going to attempt to get to as many of you today as possible, but your service may not be provided today. If not, then we will get to you ASAP. ... Please keep our driver, slinger and the driver of the other vehicle in your prayers for swift healing. Please also grant us an abundance of patience and grace during this time. We are not sure how long our employees will be out of work, or how long to get another truck on the road. Tuesday Elite Customers, I have pulled the guys off of the route as of 11:30 PM tonight. We still have about 40 stops left on today’s route, but we will be out bright and early tomorrow morning to service those locations. 12-16-2020 - SERVICE NOTICE As per our Coronavirus Statement dated March 16, 2020, ALL household garbage must be bagged. Unbagged household garbage must be picked from the bin by hand and poses a safety issue for our drivers. Unbagged household garbage can, at times, blow from the backs of our trucks and create an eyesore for our community. Therefore, any unbagged household garbage will remain unserviced. We ask all of our customers to help us keep our drivers healthy and safe and our community clean and beautiful. *This measure does NOT include cardboard boxes or items too large to fit inside the bins.

Tuesday Elite Customers, With the threat of frozen precipitation overnight and temperatures below freezing in the morning, we are delaying the start of our routes by 2 hours to allow the drivers to run the routes after sun-up. Dear Elite Customers, We are sorry to announce that we are no longer serving Lumpkin County. With the equipment and personnel issues we have experienced the last couple of months, we have been experiencing an extremely high call volume. For every one call I am able to take, I have missed 4-5. The volume of voicemails has been such that I have been unable to return calls in a timely manner. ... Heavy rains and hydroplaning on Post Road added up to another setback for Elite. Thankfully, our driver and slinger were uninjured, but we cannot say the same for our little truck. It is currently in the shop, and we hope it won’t be down for long. The deputies on the scene told us that there was nothing the driver could have done to prevent this accident. We are determined not to let this break our spirit. We realize that the last month or so has not been up to Elite standards, but we promise that we will get back to the service that you all deserve very, very soon!

To our Elite Customers, The truck that runs our Forsyth County route was involved in an accident this afternoon. Our driver and slinger were not injured, but we will not be able to complete today's route. I will be reaching out to everyone affected by email or telephone shortly.... To our Elite Customers... We had one of our drivers abruptly quit last evening. We are in the process of interviewing replacement drivers. Please know that we are working diligently to get to everyone, but today's routes may bleed over to tomorrow (Saturday). Our remaining driver, our slingers, and the owners of Elite will be working until after dark tonight and all day tomorrow to make sure that we service all of our customers.... **UPDATE!!** Due to Hurricane Zeta, there were a great many stops that were either inaccessible or unserviceable on Thursday and Friday's routes. Our drivers worked late into the evening on both days and a full day on Saturday to try to get to everyone. We are sure, however, that there are still some of our customers who haven't received service yet due to the fact that the storm caused a major disruption in our communication abilities. I was out of power from Thursday morn...ing at 5:30 AM until Friday evening at 9:00 PM. Internet service to my home still hasn't been restored. Therefore, I have been unable to communicate effectively with the drivers, and I have been unable to respond to customer emails until today when I was able to get back into the office. Needless to say, there is a huge backlog of emails, but please rest assured that I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible. The telephone is still down, but we are working with the telephone companies to try to figure out what is wrong with it. I am asking all of our customers for an abundance of grace while we work to catch up on those stops that we missed from the hurricane, as well as the changes that we are implementing across the board. To say that the last month has been difficult is an understatement. However, we pledge that we are working to make our service the best there is, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Do not fret if you cannot call in to make a payment. To our Thursday Elite Customers, The drivers began their routes this morning around 10:00 AM. They are running into a large amount of downed trees, closed roads, and downed power lines. If you do not receive service today, then we will be out on Saturday morning to service your location. If your can has loose garbage in it, then the drivers serviced the bagged garbage in your bin but are not servicing the loose garbage. Loose garbage in the cans will have to be bagged before... it will be serviced. All garbage must be bagged. We will not perform a return service on the locations that had loose garbage in their bins. The office will remain closed tomorrow due to lack of power and internet at both the office and the General Manager’s home. We will get to emails as soon as possible, but it will be after power and internet are restored. ***WEATHER ALERT*** The National Weather Service has placed the entirety of our service area under a Tropical Storm Warning. Expected rainfall amounts are between 2-6 inches and 20-40 MPH sustained winds with gusts up to 60 MPH between 3 AM and Noon tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, 2020. These conditions will make our routes unsafe for both our customers and our employees. The safety of our customers and their property, our employees and our equipment are our utmost priorit...ies. With this in mind, we will monitor the weather situation tomorrow, but we have a tentative plan to start our Thursday routes at NOON, once the weather has begun to move out. If the situation is still dangerous at that time, then we may be forced to cancel tomorrow's route. Please understand, that if there are downed power lines, trees across roadways, roadway flooding or any other dangerous circumstance, then we may not be able to service your location. We will service all stops that remained on WEDNESDAY's route tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, 2020. These stops will be the first stops that we service tomorrow morning. *THURSDAY CUSTOMERS - Our Lumpkin County/North Dawson County/Northwest Hall County THURSDAY routes will be serviced on FRIDAY, August 28, 2020. This decision was made in the effort to assure that we provide the best of service to you all during the time in which one of the trucks is in the shop for repairs.
