............. The Name ........ Everyone always asks me what’s the name of my shop? ... and then ask me ... why did I name it that and what does it mean ? ... Well , here you are . .... I could have easily named it August Snow salon or something of that nature, but I wanted it to have more of a meaning ... and not just for me ... something that described me but could also describe my staff ... I wanted something everyone could appreciate coming to work feeling as respected as I am , even tho I am owner ... I’ve worked in several salons where the owner walks around on a high horse and treats everyone beneath them ... I vowed that I would never do that or even make anyone who works for me feel that way ... I support my staff and anything that they need , I make sure I do my best take care of ... I don’t allow them to settle and I push them to step out of the box and advance there talents and craft. If they don’t know how to do something or struggle to do it, I am there to see them through .., I was blessed to be a universal stylist so I give all of my knowledge and experience to them ... I don’t judge or embarrass them for not knowing ... I just show them ALL that Ino and tell them to add it to there services so they can continue to grow ... Leadership isn’t about who is in the front ... it’s a whole lot more than that ! ... it’s A lot of responsibility, making sure your team grows , not just you but everyone as a whole ... Im beyond grateful for my position and I’m glad that I didn’t put my name on the building ... My staff still respects me as the owner , and they make sure that they represent and respect our workplace... Hell, alot of times people don’t even know that im the owner until they say something ... I don’t walk around yearning for credit because it’s all Gods ... I am a owner but I am also a stylist ... 2 different uniforms ........ The number 8 ...... I was born the 8 month and the 8th day ... and we know 8 stands for New Beginnings ... At eminent 8 ... you are renewed , held high & respected in the profession My salon is Eminent ! JOIN US !!!! THIS Saturday October 17, 2020 as we dress in " PINK with a Purpose" Our empowering awareness event will highlight the cause and cure for the fight against breast cancer. We will educate our community, promote and encourage testing, give support to current individuals affected, as well as commemorate survivors.
