You may have learned by now that behind-the-ear hearing aids and masks don’t exactly mix well together. Here are some helpful tips from the University of Kansas Medical Center Hearing and Speech clinic (Dr. Nicole Denney’s alma mater!) on how to best wear your hearing aids with your mask! Take extra care and keep track of those hearing aids!

Watch as Dr. Nicole Denney shows the different parts of a standard Receiver-In-The-Ear (or RIC) hearing aid. While hearing aids look different across the companies, they all have the same basic components and it is important for you to understand what makes your hearing aid work. You will be able to better understand and troubleshoot your hearing aid if there are problems. If you are unsure about what is what, you can always ask your audiologist!

Just a little reminder of the difference we make in people's lives...and how I am so glad we have still been able to perform repairs while the office is closed to face-to-face contact!

If you’ve been to our clinic over a staff members birthday week, you know we like to go all out to celebrate! Since we are closed and couldn’t show her off in person on her special day, everyone help us wish our office manager, Tracy, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Tracy has been with us from the very beginning and we very much wish we could celebrate her at work today. Happy birthday, Tracy! We appreciate everything you do to help everyone hear better!

We at Coweta and Fayette Hearing Clinics understand how difficult this time is for everyone, especially those of you with hearing loss.
