Introducing Lauren Brooks Patterson, a proud member of WLHS Class of 2021! She attended Northwest Laurens Elementary and West Laurens Middle before moving on to WLHS. Laurens is employed with GeeGees Boutique and is full-time dual enrolled at GMC. She will be an honor graduate, completing high school with a 3.9 GPA. She is a former Beta and was also on the Morris Bank Leadership Committee. She was on the Sapphires Dance Line (9th-10th), cheerleading squad (11th), and is now ...a Rowdy Raider! She loves to cheer on the Raiders and will miss Friday Night football games the most after graduating! In her free time, Lauren loves spending time with her Miniature Schnauzer, Sam, and being at home with family. She enjoys shopping, modeling, make-up, fashion, and all things pretty. She loves the beach and hanging out with her friends. She is always up for new adventures and meeting new people. Lauren’s favorite color is blush pink, and favorite movie is Greatest Showman. She will always remember the advice from her Mama-You’ll never regret being nice, and People may not remember everything about you, but they will remember how you made them feel, and Fear is a LIAR. If she could take a year off and money was no factor, she would travel and find new places and enjoy the adventure! Her ideal Senior trip would be a fabulous week on the beach with friends. Sun and fun is her fav! She then plans to begin Fall 2021 at GA Southern University as a Sophomore and will pursue a degree in School Psychology. When asked who inspires her, she states, My mama inspires me to overcome obstacles and to never give up. She helps me understand that life doesn’t always go as planned, but I can always trust in God and that His plan is the best plan for me. She inspires me to focus on the ‘big picture’ but to seek something special about each day no matter how small. Lauren’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 31:25-She is clothed with strength and dignity and can laugh at the future without fear. We know the future is bright for you, Lauren! Introducing Carter Haydn Sharrow, a proud member of West Laurens High School Class of 2021! Carter attended Hal Hutchens Elementary in Paulding County and Turner Middle School in Douglas County before moving to WLHS. He is on the GADOE State Superintendent Student Advisory Council. He also participates in Beta Club, Skills USA, Anchor Club, and football, and is an active member of Elevate Youth Group at Liberty Baptist Church. Carter’s favorite color is blue, favorite movie ...is Lethal Weapon, and favorite song is Dinosaur by Hank Williams, Jr. His favorite memories are hanging out with friends at his buddy’s house. After high school, he will definitely miss joking around with peers and teachers the most! Carter is inspired by his parents because they lead by example and have given him very good advice. If he could take a year off and money was not a factor, he would drive back to Yellowstone just to visit. His ideal Senior trip would be to Panama City Beach.
