Broken-hearted to hear the news that one of country music's finest as succombed to complications due to Covid-19. Joe Diffie was on my short list of country music artists from the 90s to come perform in Blue Ridge, but sadly I never had the chance to make it happen. My favorite song of his is "Ships That Don't Come In", from an era when music really meant something, and songs touched the soul.
