Our founder and CEO Sergeant First Class Brenda McEwing has faithfully served her country and community for over two decades. This includes both military and law enforcement capacities; these institutions instilled the ethics of hard work and perseverance, as reflected in the energy of her statement regarding the core mission of First Nation's Women's Warriors. She expressed that "our goal and venture is to help inspire our fellow Native Veterans... teaching that success will come with determination, perseverance and hard work." Here at First Nation's Women's Warriors, we are very dedicated to our organizational mission. Our mission is simple, yet utterly critical in our earnest endeavor to give back to those who fought for our freedoms and were repaid in kind by suffering from homelessness upon returning to the United States. To achieve this mission, We Build Homes for Forgotten Veterans by building partnerships with various resources and charitable organizations to support our veterans. Sunday, 12/13/20, was a very special day for Orville and Shirley Boni of the Peridot District. They were presented with the key to their new home, which is a p...roject made possible by the non-profit organization, First Nations Women Warriors and CEO Brenda McEwing, US Army retired veteran of 23 years. Instrumental in seeing it's project come to fruition is June Wesley, the widow of the late Vietnam Era US Army Veteran, Fred Wesley of whom the project had originally been awarded. In Fred's final wishes, he asked the project be turned to his brother, Orville. The pictures posted is a testament of the hard work of veterans, family, and friends of the Boni Family. Orville Boni, USMC, Vietnam, originally of the Bylas District greeted family and friends and shared his journey of his post-war experiences in obtaining a home 48 years after his release from the military. Shirley gave thanks to all who assisted and shared that Orville had retired from BIA Roads after 45 years, including his military time, he had 48 years of government service. Congratulations and blessings to Orville and Shirley, we are so happy for you.
