From Catie Tierney: I came home to find a biiiiig box waiting for me from First Presbyterian Church of Douglas, GA! I opened it to find another box FULL of housewarming goodies from my church family. Cards of well wishes, gift cards, measuring spoons, storage containers, potholders, decorations, and even some Douglas coasters! Y'all, I opened the box and absolutely wept. Okay, I am still crying. I did not expect this surprise and am overwhelmed by the kindness shown. I am so blessed and grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Our congregation, First Presbyterian in Mena, Arkansas, uses any 5th Sunday to do a Helping Hands Sunday. We break up into small groups and do service projects. Yesterday, some wrote thank you cards to US Capitol Police, some made Valentine cards for Children's Hospital, some wrote encouraging chalk art and messages at various places in town, some cleaned up a flowerbed at a school, some went individually to take a loaf of homemade bread to someone they thought needed to be... remembered, and 50 coats were gathered and taken to a coat drive. It is so uplifting that young and old go out in service. Wouldn't this be a great idea for us?
