We are SO INCREDIBLY PROUD of this amazing lady!!! She CRUSHED it in the Crossfit Open and is moving on to compete at a higher level within the competition. Here is what Pamela had to say about placing in the top 100 in the female Master's Division of the Crossfit Open: "For the past 3 weeks I’ve been competing in the CrossFit Open Master RX division. This was a labor of love. A love for my sister, Bonnie Berry, her memory, and the cancer battle she fought for so damn long ...which ended this past November. For 11 years she put on her game face and went thru the daily WOD beyond WODs which even Dave Castro’s WODs could not hold a candle to the kind of work she put in every day. I couldn’t be more proud of someone who fought so hard as my sister did. I know that Bonnie would be so happy for me today and the work it took to get here. I did it for her. Lane 2 at CrossFit Dynamo is special. It’s where her special heart is chalked into the wall along with all of my blood, sweat and tears that I have left there over this past year but especially these past 3 weeks. I figure if she could fight the fight and push thru it daily then damn it so can I. My sister is resting now. But I have to keep keepin’ on. Bonnie is my motivation. She is my hero. She is with me and she is proud of me. She defied all odds and fought the hard fight. Thank you Bon Bon, for the incredible badass role model you are to me. I miss you but I carry you with me every day. I love you beyond words."

A little cookie bakin' today! What are some of your favorite holiday traditions involving food and how have you/can you put a healthy spin on them? These babies are getting the full fat and sugar today but normally when I make them for my family and I, I substitute coconut palm sugar in place of brown sugar and use either monkfruit or stevia rather than granulated sugar. For chocolate chips I'll either use 70% dark chocolate or monkfruit sweetened chocolate and they are... delish!
