Beginning tomorrow, FRA will have a Coke Product sale. All Net Proceeds will go to technology to replace the Lower School Chromebooks as they become inoperable. We have cases of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Dasani Water. Each case will be $24.00. Please make checks out to Flint River Academy. Please check in with the high school office to make your purchases. Callahan's Walk-off Gives Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity Victory Over Horizon Christian Academy Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity defeated Horizon Christian Academy 7-6 on Friday thanks to a walk-off double. The game was tied at six with Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity batting in the bottom of the ninth when Christopher Callahan doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Flint River Academy Wildcats... Varsity collected six hits and Horizon Christian Academy had 11. Horizon Christian Academy opened up scoring in the first inning. Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity knotted the game up at six in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Lucas Martin singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. After Horizon Christian Academy scored two runs in the top of the fifth, Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity answered with two of their own. Horizon Christian Academy scored when #12 homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity put up three runs in the seventh inning. Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity big bats were led by Wyatt Walters, Brooks Keller, and Martin, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Martin led things off on the pitcher's mound for Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity. Martin went four innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking one. #6 started the game for Horizon Christian Academy. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out six. #3, #10, and #12 each contributed in relief for Horizon Christian Academy. Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity collected six hits on the day. Callahan and Walters each managed multiple hits for Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity. Walters and Callahan each collected two hits to lead Flint River Academy Wildcats Varsity. Horizon Christian Academy tallied 11 hits in the game. #20, #21, #6, and #12 all managed multiple hits for Horizon Christian Academy.

Flint River Academy Varsity Baseball split an out of region double header with Creekside on Monday. Wildcats won the first game 13-5. Beau Britt took the mound for FRA in a game that started out as a pitching duel. Britt pitched 3 innings allowing 4 hits and 3 runs recording 7 strikeouts. Cole Perkins came in for relief going 1 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 2 hits and 2 strikeouts. Conner Blount came in with 2 runners in scoring position to ice the game for the cats in 3 ...pitches. When the Wildcats came to bat in the second inning the bats got hot and stayed that way throughout the lineup. Wyatt Walters led the cats charge with 3 hits. Andrew Brown, Hugh Barbee, Ben Taylor and Tyler Pasley all recorded 2 hits with Pasley reaching on a double. Beau Britt, Lucas Martin and Christopher Callahan each recorded a hit for the cats. RBI’s for the game were: Pasley (3), Taylor, Brown and Martin (2), Barbee, Britt and Raines Foster (1). Flint River Academy advances to the state playoffs this Friday at Horizon Christian Academy.
