Cloudland is ready for Santa! Make sure to come by the Park Office to check out our newest decorations, our Nutcrackers! Long time trail supporter Charles Mahan has agreed to serve on the Trails Leadership Committee. Charles has been a dedicated trail volunteer for several years and has the experience we need to guide our group. Thanks Charles for making the commitment!

Member Spotlight Monday! Let's kick off out first Member Monday with our President Bob "Chainsaw" Veneable. Bob is a power house behind the scenes and I had to go way back to find a picture of him because much of his time working goes unseen by many but greatly appreciated by all! He is a leader with the Trail Dudes and also the President of the Friends Of Cloudland Canyon. Thanks so much for all that you do for the Friends group and the park!

Many of us appreciate our amazing Cloudland Canyon State Park. During the winter the Ranger Naturalist does not work. As visitors come to enjoy all the wonderf...ul new open views, rushing water, and sometimes snow and icycles they find the Interpretive Center closed. We all, as a community can help keep the Interpretive Center, IC, open a few hours on Saturdays and Sunday through the winter. It is an easy job and always enjoyable. You do not have to be an official Friend of Cloudland Canyon State Park to sign up. Please consider giving a day or two this winter to this effort. It is a great opportunity for a family to work together and give back to this park. Your kids will love to be official hosts and help out in the craft and book area.
