Parents, We have been in contact with church leadership and the Child Development Center will remain closed until a tentative re-opening date has been decided, provided that the COVID-19 numbers are still declining in Hall County. First Presbyterian Church has formed a task force to determine a safe reopening date. The next meeting is Monday, June 1, 2020. Hopefully, we will have answers at this time. Thank you all for your patience and continued support to the child development center. We hope to remain as connected as possible with our families during this time of social distancing. Please don't hesitate to reach out to staff. Our prayers continue to be with those who are infected with this virus, those who are caring for these individuals, and for those who have to make difficult decisions as we navigate this time.
We had a wonderful turn out for our Pre-K celebration parade last night! We practiced social distancing and loved seeing our Pre-K students!
We are pleased to be able to offer a Pre-K end of the year celebration alternative. We can’t wait to celebrate your child and their accomplishments this year. Please remember to follow the rules to keep everyone safe!

Join us for worship today at 11am here: https://fpcga.churchonline.org/ From Pastor Lee’s note on Thursday: This Sunday we'll depart from the lectionary in order to keep telling resurrection stories - we need those right now! Our scripture reading will be John 21:1-19. In this reading the resurrected Christ appears to his disciples, all of whom just wanted to ‘get back to normal’ following his crucifixion. Jesus, however, came to them and called them into a new way of being.... He called them into a new ministry that grew out of an inescapable truth: everything had changed. What message is there for us in this reading? What is the resurrected Christ calling us to do or to be in 2020? While it may be true that everything has changed, and that there's no way back to ‘normal’ as we once knew it, we nevertheless center ourselves on the ultimate reality that Christ has risen, and we are called to live as resurrection people. May God bless you and guide you through this surreal and uncertain time, and may you be blessed with opportunities to proclaim and live the good news: Christ is alive, here and now.
