Each of our classes had a turn going trick or treating to our church offices. Thanks to our church staff at First Presbyterian Church - Columbus, Georgia for all of the decorations and fun costumes you wore. You really helped make COVID Halloween 2020 special for the kids. Happy Halloween!!!
"This little fella was having a tough morning and fell out on the floor. I seen his mother step back and look. She stated this is how he is expressing himself l...ately. I decided to get on his level and talk to him. He started to cry so I wiped his tears and told him it will be ok. As an adult sometimes all we want is one person to stop, get on our level and maybe wipe our tears. These children are entitled to bad days just as us, so give them that moment to bring it together. Get on someone's level today and make them smile!! Spread PEACE and LOVE you might be that person that gives them hope!" Credit: Indiana State Police

Spooky season is the perfect time to talk about skeletons and nocturnal animals! The kids in Mrs. Gabby’s and Mrs. Amy’s class have really loved it!
Here’s a possible alternative for safe trick or treating.

Special visitor alert from Mrs. Gabby’s class: Peanut paid a visit to our class today! The kids were so excited and very sweet with him. We learned about the needs of animals, and that Peanut is a vertebrate, mammal, and herbivore. The kids took turns holding him and feeding him parsley. Needless to say, Peanut took a much deserved nap when he got home.
Love this fun art update from Ms. Schina’s Montessori class! We’re just gonna skip over his lifelong battle with depression and the fact that he severed his own ear from his head and focus on his uncanny ability to make you feel what he was feeling while creating art. Here’s to you, Vincent Van Gogh! We’ve started with experimenting with charcoal, just like Van Gogh did when he first started as an artist. And let me tell you, I have multiple mini Van Goghs this year (all with both ears ) and they each have different and uniquely beautiful developing styles. Next we will see what happens when Van Gogh added paint to his canvases...things got a lot brighter! Mini masterpieces coming soon! #vincentvangogh #tinyartists #charcoaldrawings
Happy first day of Fall everyone! Let's hope this beautiful weather isn't just a trick.
