Friends of Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites

Tis the season! It’s certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas and the local chamber did a fabulous job decorating the Hardman Farm tree! Lovely.

Amazing photos by George Bostian taken at Providence Canyon. While visiting, enjoy views of the canyons from the rim trail, taking care to stay behind fences and off the fragile canyon edge. Poor farming practices in the 1800s actually caused the massive gullies. However we don’t want the canyon walls to collapse so make sure to stay behind the fences while hiking. Florence Marina State Park is close by and another awesome place to check out and even stay overnight if you want a fun getaway!
