"Dr. Hicks is considered an iconic figure in the history of Georgia Agricultural Education. He was instrumental in the history of the New Farmers of America, Camp John Hope, FFA, and Fort Valley State University. He was a long-time teacher educator at FVSU and had a very positive influence on my Ag Teacher and many others.
