The other day we posted about our Auxiliary Unit 233 packing bags for our veterans. Today they were packing boxes for our troops! A whole load of love from Loganville is headed to Afghanistan!

Today was our Buddy Check Day and several of us gathered in the big hall (spread way out) to see if we could call ALL the Legionnaires of the post. There were wrong numbers, of course, no answers, and sad news that we had just missed some folks who have moved on to Post Everlasting. The big take away from today though was the laughter, the caring, and the stories swapped with folks we don't always get to see very much. It has been a hard year for much of our membership an...d it was great to just take a few minutes and chat about their lives, our legion, and our community of veterans. If you did not get a call, or a voicemail, and think you should have... reach out to the post 770-466-4728 and let us know. We had several members for whom we did not have numbers, and some whose numbers have changed. To those that we got a chance to talk to, THANKS for sharing a few minutes with us, you made our day! This year it just seems like we can all use as much holiday spirit as we can get. Today, members of our Auxiliary Unit 233 got together in the big hall and packed Christmas Care Packages for the veterans in the GA War Veterans' Home in Milledgeville. It is important to do it early so everything can be quarantined for a while before it is given to the veterans. The hall was filled with Christmas music and the spirit of the whole season.
