Fresh stocking at the lake this afternoon from Aquatic Environmental Services, Inc.
A lot of people never make it to the back left side of the lake but it is shallow back there and there are a lot of trees down near the shoreline. Some good fishing with a lot of quiet time to enjoy nature
We don’t have down exact record for the largest fish caught at GB‘s, but look at these crappy that Scott Brezee caught this past weekend. These guys were nearly 18 inches in length. Very nice fish. Look forward to seeing everyone out this weekend to try and beat that record. As for others I know that Richard Fowler caught an 11lb 9oz bass here and that we had a 45lb catfish lugged out by a fisherman. They are there and they are big.
Just heard from Aquatic Environmental Services, Inc. and we should have more bass coming in a few weeks. With as much fish as we have stocked in this lake already this year, you would be missing a great opportunity to catch some nice fish if you didn't stop by (Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 9am until dark)
Sometimes it’s just about getting outside and having good quality cell phone and iPad free family time. Memories like this are priceless. So glad to be able to make them happen here at GB’s
Some really nice fish being stocked in GB’s today
Look at these beautiful fish being stocked at GB’s today from Aquatic Environmental Services, Inc.. over 275lbs of bass, catfish, and crappie. More to come!
Working on securing another Bass stocking and it is going to be a big one. 500+ bass of varying sizes is the plan. We will keep you posted.
Aquatic Environmental Services, Inc. brought us an assortment of bass, along with some brim, and a few catfish and crappie that snuck in. These were put into the main lake. With the weather like it is we hope to do more stocking this fall. Come see us, we're open Friday through Monday 9am until dark. We've been staying stocked up with red wrigglers, night crawlers, and mill worms.
The walk through gates on the Stable side of the lake have been finished allowing you to fish all the way to the far back side of the lake. There is a total of six of these so you have plenty of room to enjoy your own quiet spot. Please always pick up your trash and fishing line because the horses are in these paddocks.
This is one of those days you need to do your zoom video conference without video and just get out to the lake. What a gorgeous day for fishing, picnicking, and enjoying all things in nature.
I hear alot of good and bad comments about these.. have any of you guys had good luck with these?? Or should i stay away from them??
Can fishing weather get any better??
After all the rain over the past few days I thought this was a great article about the best way to bass fish after a lot of rain. https://www.google.com///blog/bass-fishing-after-rain/amp/
Just talked with our fish suppliers and with cooler weather in the horizon we’ll be looking at restocking the lake soon. Come see us and enjoy some safe outdoor fun.
We’re open all Labor Day weekend Friday through Monday 9am till dark. Bring the rod and reel, grill, and cooler, it’s going to be a great weekend.
Hey guys if you’re looking for some one on one fishing lessons for yourself or the young fisherman Scott Brezee is available at GB’s Lake. This guy knows what to use and where to fish at and what it takes to catch some great fish. Rarely has he left empty handed and he is extremely affordable. Give him a shout to schedule a time to get together.
Guys we promise the lake is right here. Just through the fog. What a beautiful peaceful morning for some relaxing fishing.
Danny is trying out live wax worms (250 per tub for $14). If you find them beneficial let us know and we will order more.
A lot of people never notice this area on the left side of the lake that is a perfect fishing spot that can hide the evening sun and provide a different spot to drop a line. As you get closer to the fence at the far end of the path there is vegetation that makes for nice fish beds/hideouts. Some cooler mornings over the next few days and staying in the 80’s today so come see us. Danny has been able to get Night Crawlers again after an outage because of all things, Covid shut down the border with Canada where a large amount of worms are farmed.
