Fried Green Tomatoes, located right next to Chick-Fil-A on North Columbia Street, has a wide variety of home cooked southern food tasty enough even for the most picky of eaters. The new establishment embodies a simple, low key vibe. Walking in, a customer sees the long buffet counter with different menu choices ranging from a vegetable plate to a three-meat and two-vegetables plate. GC senior Luke Ninneman, who’s experienced his fair share of southern cooking, was someone e...ager to try the new establishment. It’s about what I expected walking in. It’s a nice buffet with lots of good southern food options, Ninneman said. It had a nice homey feel to it and the place looked very clean, which is nice when eating at a new restaurant.
