With spring in the air, we wanted to remind you to practice safe eye care while spring cleaning! If any household cleaning chemical gets in your eye, avoid using eye drops. Instead, try using lukewarm water or contact saline rinse. However, don't hesitate to seek medical assistance if your irritation persists!

Our wonderful nurse Nancy Forrester recently received Panoptix lenses. Read what she had to say...."I am thrilled with my Panoptix lenses. I had worn glasses since the 3rd grade and then contacts since 10th grade. It is so wonderful to wake up in the morning and not fumble around for my glasses to see. With the Panoptix lenses, I can both read well and work easily on the computer and see well at a distance. I know I work for Dr. Dong, but I would recommend him and his staff to anyone."

Did you know that more than 85 million people worldwide are visually impaired? We are honored to partner with the ASCRS Foundation and give back to our community. Operation Sight week was launched to serve the financially vulnerable and uninsured people who cannot afford vision care. To date, Operation Sight has delivered more than 4,800 surgeries through a nationwide network of volunteer surgeons committed to caring for those who could not otherwise afford life-changing surgery. It's not too late to donate and give the gift of sight to deserving patients. https://bit.ly/3knudXS #operationsight #stepupforsight

According to The Eye Diseases Prevalence Research Group, more than 2.6 million people in the United States are affected by glaucoma. Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can damage the optic nerve and results in vision loss and blindness. Everyone is at risk for glaucoma. For this reason, we recommend that you get tested often. As a standard procedure, The Georgia Center for Sight does routine glaucoma testing with each eye exam. Visit our website at https://bit.ly/2SfuoIj or call your local Georgia Center for Sight office today to schedule an eye exam with us.

It’s National Operation Sight Week, and we are so incredibly grateful and blessed to give back during these trying times. Dr. Dong and his amazing staff had the wonderful opportunity to give the gift of sight to two very deserving patients today. Operation Sight is a charitable program through the ASCRS Foundation. The ASCRS Foundation supports physician education and provides humanitarian cataract surgery in the United States and developing countries. Through its programs and partnerships, the Foundation works to maximize the benefits of modern ophthalmology and to treat thousands of patients in need each year. Donate today so that more patients can receive the gift of sight. https://bit.ly/3knudXS #operationsight #stepupforsight

It's no secret that looking at screens too much can lead to eye strain. To minimize the effects of prolonged exposure to blue light, we encourage you to take regular breaks using the 20-20-20 rule! For every 20 minutes you spend looking at a screen, look at something 20 feet away from you for 20 seconds.
