The Auditor Class at the Georgia Trombone Summit offers the flexibility to pick and choose among Orchestral and Jazz Commercial masterclasses, engage in discussion groups with GTS faculty, and check out gear and music at our exhibits room, courtesy of Edwards Southeast, Griego Mouthpieces, Just for Brass, and Potenza Music. HOWEVER! There are plenty of performing opportunities for our Auditors, from their daily masterclasses to trombone choir, and from group warmups with Re...sonant Projection members to chamber music opportunities as well. *Pending artist availability*, auditors can also arrange private lessons with the GTS Artist Faculty. We also offer daily rates for interested parties who can’t attend the entire week! Visit georgiatrombonesummit.com for more information. Edwards Instrument Co. We’re looking forward to having Steve Wiest as a returning member of our Artist Faculty for #GTS2020! Steve is known around the world for his fresh cutting edge writing and his extroverted virtuoso trombone playing. Steve currently serves as Professor of music and as Coordinator of the 21st Century Music Initiative at the Lamont School of Music in Denver, Colorado. This video is a highlight reel from our Jazz Night at Hendershot’s Coffee here in Athens. The charts featured here are Coffee Pot, Autumn Leaves, and Secret Love. Steve is backed here by Greg Hankins (piano), Luca Lombardi (bass), Jeremy Roberts (guitar), and Seth Hendershot (drums), along with the Resonant Projection Trombone Quartet. Edwards Instrument Co. The Jazz & Commercial track of the Participant Class, while limited in size, offers masterclasses in the necessary skills for the modern musician, including transcribing, doubling, improvising, and building a portfolio. Participants will also have section coachings and chamber music with Steve Wiest and Paul Compton, as well as private lessons with Steve Wiest. The Jazz & Commercial track and its masterclasses are also open to Auditors! Registration is open until we book this class. Happy Friday! Edwards Instrument Co. Edwards Southeast
