OK the pizza party for Saturday night is a go. We will plan on trying to eat around 6:30pm depending upon when the pizzas can be picked up. If you would like to bring something your welcome too. Suggested items - drinks, desserts, and napkins. If you have not signed up to eat pizza with us and your family will be staying please let me know.

Barrels will be our first event tonight. We plan on starting at 6pm

Shoutout to Thomasville Stockyards for sponsoring the Finalist hats this year. Their contribution is greatly appreciate! I did order a few extra hats and they will be $20 each and available on a FCFS basis.

Reminder we will verify all results at the end of each event and post them. I need members to volunteer to review the event results. Parents it is your responsibility to review the results after each event so if there is a question on the times entered/points we can address it this weekend do NOT wait after finals to send me a message to dispute results.

We will be rescheduling this weekend rodeos to our rain out date; April 24th and 25th. The weather forecast is showing 80% chance of storms due to a Tropical Storms. Remaining scheduled rodoes: April 24th and 25th May 7th, 8th and 9th will be finals... May 22nd - Awards Due to having several member in other associations and attempts not to overlap finals and awards. Should our Finals in May get rained out then the schedule will be as follows: Finals will be June 11th, 12th, and 13th Awards June 19th

Just a reminder as we move into this weekend on how points are done/ averaged and in the case of a tie how the winner is determined. Also, awards.... We have had a few family sponsored awards this year. (Saddles and other items). If you have a question please talk to me this weekend.

Suggest- If your child will be playing on the waterslide this weekend you might want to bring some flip-flops or water shoes for them to walk back-and-forth to the slide.

Call in/out is today... If you need to make updates please do so today. This weekend will be a Tshirt fundraiser. Contestants can compete in a GFYR tshirt for $10 per child for the weekend. Saturday will be a Easter Egg hunt. Please bring plastic filled eggs for the kids to hunt after Barrels are ran. ... Last month for the yard sale... Please bring your donations. J2 is hosting a NBHA in 2 weeks so we will also set up the yard sale at the barrel race. Any items left after the NBHA will be sold/donated. We are still looking for sponsors. The money raised will go towards the purchase of Final prizes for for all the finalist who attend finals. Typically, this is Tshirts and Hats. As much as I hate cancelling this weekend after much debate we feel that it is in everyone's best interest. I know everyone is sick of the rain. We have been told multiple time we need a covered arena and we agree. However; just realize that even those with covered arenas are cancelling this weekend. No one wants to spend their weekend with their horses tied to their trailer while it rains outside. It makes for a miserable time; cold and wet are two things I would rather not do. So, prayers for nice weather to come. As of right now our next rodeo date will be 27th and 28th and in March we will have 2 weekends of rodeos.

Peewee finalist - I have submitted our buckles for this year and ordered the smaller peewee buckles. It was bought to my attention that the standard size was to big for the kids to wear. If you would rather your child have the standard size buckle please let me know TODAY so I can adjust the order.

Folks we are suppose to rodeo this weekend and here is our forecast. For now let’s just watch and see what happens.

We have decided it would be safer to reschedule the rodeo. I expect the weather will be nice this weekend but the ground is saturated with all the rain we have been getting. So, for now the January rodeo will be moved to our makeup date in February. This means we will have 2 weekends of rodeo next month. Thanks In advance for understanding!

We have been working the arena ground all this week to get it ready for this weekend. Now the weather forecast is calling for 70% chance of rain on Friday. If this happens then there is a chance that the ground will be too wet for this weekend. We know that all our members want the best ground possible so they can have their best run. We also know that we have members who drive a considerable distance to get here. So for now we are just going to keep a watch on the forecast and see what happens. We will make an ultimate decision at 6pm Friday. I know we had planned on doing a Friday night barrel race but that might not be possible. Please check back Friday for updates
