"As the daughter of Haitian immigrants, I've always had to hold onto multiple truths. I've had to live with multiple identities. Most first-generation kids are familiar with the negotiations of who we are at home and who we are in the wider world. On the whole I'm the better for it." -Roxanne Gay - Writer - American Like Me: Reflections on Life Between Cultures #ggcreads
