Gator Families, We hope you all have had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We will be starting back to school this week with a hybrid model. Our students have been divided into Cohort A and Cohort B. Cohort A includes students whose last name begins with the letter A through K, and Cohort B includes students whose last name begins with L through Z. Some families have been contacted about making a change to a different cohort. If your teacher placed your child in a different cohort, ...please adhere to that cohort assignment. Cohort A will attend school in person on Monday and Tuesday. Cohort B will attend school in person on Thursday and Friday. On the three days your child is not attending school in person, they will have assignments to complete at home. Most students will complete assignments on Google Classroom. However, some of our younger students will have learning packets. Your child’s teacher will provide specific information regarding assignments. Students with Chromebooks should make sure the devices are fully charged and are brought to school with them on the days they attend school in person. Teachers and Walker County technology specialists are able to access these devices remotely and monitor student usage. Devices should be utilized for schoolwork only and be treated with care. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we do everything we can to ensure that learning continues in a safe and positive environment for all! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us through Class Dojo or email. See more

Our public libraries in Walker County (Rossville, Chickamauga and LaFayette) are open 7 days a week and have a FREE tutor program called Time with Teacher". Certified teachers are available for one-on-one appointments in all three libraries, 7 days a week. These sessions are free to students, and Walker County CARES funding is paying for the teacher. You can go to www.chrl.org/tutor to make an appointment. Our libraries provide a safe place for tutoring sessions to take place and face shields are provided for all participants. This is a great opportunity for our students and families!
