Our guardian is now ushering for the pearly gates. http://www.legacy.com/obitu/statesboroherald/obituary.aspx STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Paul Mikell, age 66, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 24, 2017, at his residence. He was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Greater Bethel AME Church, where he was a stweard and served on the Usher Board.... He is survived by his children, Ricardo (Valarie) Hagins, Twin City, Ga.; and Sandra (Richard III) Spencer, Statesboro, Ga.; one brother-in-law, Tony "WD" Ellis, Dayton, Ohio; and one sister-in-law, Linda Mikell, Statesboro, Ga.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mr. Mikell will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Greater Bethel AME Church with the pastor, the Reverend DeBorah Lanier, as eulogist. Burial will be in the Mt. Misgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (Fish Trap). The family will receive family and friends on Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the very caring, capable and professional staff of James R. Barnes Mortuary. See more
