GMP AVAILABLE FOR TESTING IN 2015 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JEFFERSON, GA (January 28, 2015) One of the best-equipped and most modern speedways in the southeast Gresham Motorsports Park - is available for testing in 2015.... The Jefferson, GA facility features half- and quarter-mile ovals along with MyLaps data loop retrieval scoring and an enclosed, heated/air conditioned Infield Tech Building with multiple stalls and a surface plate. Testing on the GMP banked half-mile oval is open to Super, Pro and Outlaw Late Model cars and Trucks; NASCAR K&N and ARCA Stock Cars; NASCAR, KOMA and IMCA-Style Modifieds; Mazda Formula Series; and Local Sportsman and Street Stock/Renegade teams. Legends, Bandolero, BM Modified, Mini-Stock, Front-Wheel Drive and Quarter-Midgets are eligible to test on the GMP quarter-mile oval. Each GMP test includes a Safety Truck, Wrecker, Fire Truck and Two Georgia Certified Firemen (One Certified Paramedic.) All test vehicles will be required to pass a safety inspection and all drivers regardless of division or track will need to wear SFI approved safety gear including Head and Neck Restraints. So very happy to have celebrated the holidays with a staff luncheon at GMP yesterday That said, here's wishing everyone - all of our associates, racers and fans - the best of holiday seasons Remember to travel safely wherever the season takes you Merry Christmas 2014 and Happy New Year 2015.!

We have been busy with some pre-Snowball Derby testing and special private events like the Georgia Tech University Solar Car day. Students in the program put the car on display for its sponsors in the GMP Infield Tech Building before putting the vehicle on the track for some laps. Easily one of the most interesting - and unique - cars to ever appear at GMP. Many thanks to Georgia Tech and its students for a very special day.

The FAA decided our trees out front had grown too much and were too close to the Jackson County Airport, so they came in here and cut them down over the past couple of weeks Kinda sad, and sure makes the place look different from Lyle Field Road...

Almost forgot - Like every year, we're changing the GMP Main Office hours now that the racing season is over The GMP Main Office will now be open Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Office is Closed Fridays Meanwhile, GMP is open for Testing/Practice six days a week - Monday-Saturday. TRACK PROPERTIES LLC TO SELL OR LEASE GRESHAM MOTORSPORTS PARK FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE... JEFFERSON, GA (September 30, 2014) Track Properties LLC (TP) today announced its intention to sell or long-term lease Gresham Motorsports Park. We’re sadden to advise that Gresham Motorsports Park will not be hosting race events in 2015, stated Track Properties Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Gresham. GMP will continue to be available for practice and testing while we market the facility for sale or long-term lease to another party. Plans for the sale/lease of Gresham Motorsports Park are currently being formulated and will be announced at a later date. This was an extremely difficult decision, Gresham stated. Our timing in rehabbing Peach State - along with a subsequent downturn in the overall economy of the country - could not have been worse, The entertainment value for our fans and the services we’ve provided our sponsors and participants have been very successful in our opinion. Unfortunately, the economic part of what our family was trying to achieve with the GMP facility has not proven to be successful. On behalf of our entire family, we would like to extend our thanks to John Close and all of our full-time and race-day associates. All have gone well beyond the call of duty in trying to make short-track racing an entertaining and successful venture at GMP. Finally, we want to thank all of our fans, racers, sponsors, and media for their patronage and support of Gresham Motorsports Park, Gresham concluded.
