Senior Recognition - Jared Cobb Jared has worked at Southern Adventures for over 2 years now and has been studying Multimedia Film and Production. Jared's favorite thing about working here is the people. "It truly feels like a family at Southern Adventures". Jared is looking to continue freelance work on editing marketing videos and narrative film editing in his future. Goodluck and congratulations Jared!

Senior Recognition - Lorenzo Respress Lorenzo has worked at Southern Adventures as a Bike Tech for over 2.5 years now and has been studying Construction Management. Lorenzo's favorite thing about working here is being able to express himself and his creative antics working in the bike shop! Lorenzo is currently weighing post-graduate job offers, but also considering an internship. Good luck and congratulations Lorenzo!

Senior Recognition - Mikayla Murphy Mikayla has worked at Southern Adventures for 3 semesters now and has been studying Public Health. Mikayla's favorite thing about working here is being able to build relationships and learn new skills! Mikayla is going to be completing an internship at Live Healthy Gwinnett and going to graduate school for a Master's in Public Health after. Good luck and congratulations Mikayla!

#WhyICRI "Hi everyone! I’m Akeem, a biology major and outdoor adventurer! I’ve loved the outdoors my entire life. I can spend hours outside exploring all the co...ol things in nature. It just really lets me clear my mind! It was tough when I came to college and didn’t have as much time for that anymore because I really believe that being outside is a key part in feeling good! When I got to Georgia Southern and stepped into Southern Adventures, I knew I had found my place. I went ahead and signed up for their weeklong adventure trip that they usually take every Fall and it was amazing! I got to do so much on this trip -- kayak, camp and hike. It started snowing while we were kayaking down the river and even though it was freezing, it was the most beautiful sight! It was an awesome experience. This year I’ve started getting into climbing and bouldering to get some extra physical activity in! I’ve never really been into it before but I joined the climbing club and it has been so fun and a cool change of pace. I’ve had to overcome some major obstacles throughout my college career and there’s been times when I’ve just wanted to quit. Thankfully, I found Southern Adventures so that I can still make time for the things I love and have an outlet to release my stress so that I can stay motivated to keep pushing forward!"
