Being selected for the Pickering Fellowship is truly a dream come true, said Georgia State journalism grad Joshua Fife (B.A. '19). He's been named a 2021 Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellow and will embark on a career in the Foreign Service. The financial burdens of graduate school make it unattainable for so many people like me, so this fellowship is the opportunity of a lifetime. It brings much-needed diversity into our nation’s diplomatic corps, and I’m honored to be able to represent my community on the global stage. Fife worked with #GSUHonor's Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships throughout the competitive application process. Congratulations to Erica Alon Alexander (B.I.S. '19) who has been selected for a 2021 Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship! She worked with our Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships on the competitive application process. Erica has been teaching English is South Korea for the last year and is applying to graduate programs in international affairs and communication to prepare for her work in the public diplomacy track of the U.S. Foreign Service.
