Hansley Bobo is a Fall 2015 graduate of the B.S. Neuroscience program. He graduated from the Florida State University College of Medicine in May 2020. Currently, he is completing a three-year internal medicine residency at Grady Memorial Hospital with the Morehouse School of Medicine. He hopes to practice critical care medicine or outpatient internal medicine with an emphasis on research. While at GSU, his favorite course was NEUR 4000 - Neuroscience Laboratory. It challenged him to form his own scientific question, choose correct independent variables, understand confounding variables, and accurately interpret results. He advises current students to seek out research laboratory experience opportunities as early as possible. Your Neuroscience Institute family is proud of you Hansley! #TheStateWay #NeurAlumniSuccess

Neuroscience alumna, Shahreen Elahi, was recently featured in the GSU Magazine. She had a background role as an extra in Spider-Man Homecoming. While her role was small, it brought light to a big issue: a lack of Muslim representation in TV and film. She wore a hijab for her scenes and was the first extra in a Marvel film to do so. Shahreen is currently working as a clinical assistant at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. #BreakingBarriers #TheStateWay
