Architecture for Teens offers readers an overview of the basic elements of architecturestructure, program, aesthetics, and region. The book also shares the vast career opportunities for architects that range from residential and commercial design to historic preservation, landscape architecture, urban planning, and more. Using real world examples, Willkens presents architectural projects, colorful illustrations, and thoughtful details of their impact. Richard Rogers, A/E/C industry marketer and former visiting associate professor for the School of Architecture, passed away in August 2020 and is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Rogers. In his career, Rogers worked in marketing and management for American Airlines, TWA, Pan American, and KLM, Campbell Soup, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Eli Lilly, Kraft (known as General Foods at the time), Kroger, The Home Depot, Honeywell, KFC, Pizza Hut, and many more. Using the knowledge he acquired while creating a class at Georgia Tech for A/E/C course titled Marketing Architecture and Engineering Services, Rogers wrote the textbook DIRECTIONSStrategic Marketing for Business Development.
