Good Morning, Yellow Jackets Today, we have Andrea Henriquez, one of our Education Abroad advisors to give us a holiday dish from her home country In Venezuela, we only eat Pan de Jamón around the holiday season so it really brings memories back from my country and spending time with family and friends on this holiday. This is one of my favorite dishes to make because it is so delicious but also I find it very easy to make!

It’s time for another international holiday dish memory from our very own exchange advisor, Meg Sonstroem! I stayed with a host family for a month in the little town of Blain, France when I was 17 (2006).My French level was not fantastic, but I made a wonderful connection with the family. My host grandmother would cook fantastic meals while I was there and one of desserts I liked best was a Gateau Bretagne(a Breton butter cake).Later, when I was spending a year on exchan...ge in France, I went to visit my old host family and my host grandmother remembered what my favorite dish was and she surprised me with a cake as a snack for my train ride back to where I was staying!Since I had been living in France for almost a year when I went to go see them, I could finally really communicate with the whole family.I continue to stay in touch with the family and even plan to go to my host sister's wedding in France during the summer of 2022.
