The chaos in Atlanta automotive scene has gotten the attention of BBC. Nothing to celebrate here, there is nothing positive in this article. Only showing that we are at a point of no return. Georgia will never let this be the image of it, hence the new House Bill 534 with stricter laws has been initiated. We ask people to calm down and let the scene cool off for a while. This isn't good for any car enthusiast. To new outlets, BBC News, FOX 5 Atlanta , MSNBC , WSB-TV , CBS46... , this isn't "street racing". This is "stunt driving" and "takeovers ", in which people block highways and public roads to do donuts and burnout. Street racing is where two cars are going head to head at high-speed trying to beat one another. Just like "stabbing" isn't a "shooting", "Takeovers" aren't "street racing". Gov. Kemp is signing the Anti-Racing Bill HB 534. We HIGHLY encourage every enthusiast in Georgia to give it a good read. A ticket for a simple offense before now is a misdemeanor. A ticket of $150 before now is $1500 with a trip to jail, vehicle impound, and license suspension. It gets better for those who are and will be tried as "habitual violators" within, hold your breath, 10 YEARS. Those convicted as such will face felony charges, 5 years in prison, $5000 fines, and f...orced to forfeit their vehicle. This is just the tip of the iceberg. A lot of us have enjoyed the golden days of the Atlanta Car scene. Those who encourage, partake, and promote the takeover-style events will not. As excited as we are to start the 2021 season, we are as much concerned about our attendees enjoying the Gwinnett Meet without being targeted for simply being enthusiasts. Our cars reflects who we are and how we express ourself. We grew up breathing this passion for cars. We shouldn't be getting pulled over for simply driving our cars, unless we aren't bluntly breaking the law. Like it used to be. For decades we enjoyed this hobby by keeping a healthy balance with the law by ...not openly challenging them and broadcasting it to the world. We all knew local law enforcement wasn't going to just sit around. They now have a changed perspective towards every modified vehicle. Times have changed. We are still attempting to mediate things and come to a common understanding with Gwinnett PD so we aren't treated as sitting ducks. This is Gwinnett Meet, for the last 15 years it has been the anchor weekly night meet that brings hundreds of modified cars together in one place, but we never encouraged being reckless. It's a night many look forward to, but taking the ongoing crackdown in consideration we are postponing the meet. No point to host it if we nor you can enjoy it. This is temporary. Drive to Feed was a success. Thanks to those who came out and helped. We delivered food to 4 shelters (Women's International House, Veterans Empowerment, Safehouse Outreach, and Gateway Homeless Center) and a family. This will be taking place annually from here. Up next Paul Walker Memorial Event and Toys for Tots.

Folks seems like there is bit of a confusion. We are meeting here and leaving here at 12pm-12:30pm, not 3pm. The cruise ends at 3pm or whenever we get finish delivering.
