Good Afternoon! City Hall will be closed Monday, April 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm. so that the employees may attend the funeral of long time employee Chuck Hyatt. Please remember him and his family in your prayers. Chuck will be missed here each day as well as around the City. Thank you!

Good Evening! Notification was received that the Wednesday garbage route was not completed today. The following areas will be serviced tomorrow: Louisville Rd, Old Union, Newman Rd, Appling Harlem Hwy, Huntley Trail, Carriage Lane, Stanford Rd, Brown Rd, Jamison Drive, Gay Rd, Clary Cut, Green Plantation, Otis Way, Mack's Rd, Logan Place, Forest Drive, Lake Ave, Haverhill and Carlene Drive. Please let us know if your road does not get serviced so that we can follow-up with Meridian. We have been told that recycling will run as normal tomorrow. Recycling for tomorrow is for the residents who live on the southside of town and have the Monday garbage pickup. We are working to get the route delays resolved. The areas affected are: Planner Mill, Recreation Drive, E Trippe, Ballard Drive, Canterbury, N Fairview Drive, Hillcrest Street, Barrett Street and Paschal Street. We apologize for any inconvenience. NOTICE TO THE DRIVING PUBLIC: Good Morning! Work is continuing today in the downtown area with the installation of the new crosswalk. Good Evening! Yesterday the garbage route was not completed due to the truck being packed out. We received word at about 7:00 p.m. this evening that yesterday's route was completed as well as today's route. If you are a Monday service customer that was missed yesterday and still did not get serviced today, please call City Hall to report it. If your service day was today and you did not get serviced, please call City Hall to report it.
