NOTICE: The Hazlehurst Housing Authority has developed it's Agency and Annual Plan in compliance with the Quality housing and Responsibility Act of 1998. Plans are available for review at the Authority's office located at 29 Wildwood Drive Apt. 59 Hazlehurst, GA during operation hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. In addition, a public hearing will be held on March 15, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Authority's office in Hazlehurst, GA.

The annual Christmas program at Because He Lives Ministries will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the recreation department on the Baxley Highway across from the Mission Store. This program is designed to help children have a more joyful Christmas while experiencing the true meaning of Christmas. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, this program will be conducted in a drive through manner. Children and their parents will enjoy a live nativity scene and Christmas caroling from the safety of their vehicle. Registration for this program has begun. Parents are invited to come to the Mission Store and register their children (ages 2 to 14) for this program.

Jeff Davis County Secret Santa applications are now available for pick-up at Jeff Davis Department of Family & Children's Services. Please complete and return no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

Reminder to all residents: We will begin housekeeping/Pest Control inspections tomorrow (Oct 27th). During these inspections, our staff will be delivering a special package to each apartment. If you are not home, it will be left inside your apartment. We hope you enjoy this gift from the housing authority.

The Hazlehurst Housing Authority is excited to announce... Every school-aged child (4-18) that is on a lease will be receiving a brand new FREE BACKPACK!!! We will be delivering them to your apartment in the next few weeks.

TODAY!!! The Appling County Food Bank will be sponsoring the Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry on Wednesday. July 22, from 11:00 until 2:00. Our goal is to serv...e 400 household. The giveaway is on Barnes Street. As always there is no charge for the food. We are expecting 20 pallets of food, approximately 30,000 pounds of food. I will miss this sweet lady so much! She was such a blessing to me. Heaven gained such a sweet angel.

It is with heavy hearts we share the news of the passing of our Saralyn Ferguson. Ms. Saralyn was not only our resident board member at the housing authority, but a good friend. We will miss her greatly.
