Update on the puppies dumped in Toomsboro 3 of the 4 puppies are now with us. The last puppy will hopefully be trapped tonight. All the puppies have demodex... mange, the non-contagious type, that they inherited from their mother at birth. Most puppies are strong enough to not develop skin issues from the mange, but these puppies were not. If caught early, it is a relatively easy treatment, but these puppies have been neglected for months. Because of that, they have no fur and now have a secondary skin infection. In general, they are in poor health from lack of proper nutrition and care. Today their lives will be forever changed thoughWe are working on getting their skin infections clear and getting them strong enough to be spayed/neutered Thank you so much to everyone that has donated; it means so much! It is going to be a long road to recovery, but I think these little guys are fighters!! I’ll post an update soon
