His House Ministries

Sorry for the lack of updates - God continues to bless His House and we are so blessed with 4 houses of men and women who's lives are changing so much because of their commitment to God and their recovery. We do have a very special prayer request. We request everyone to please help us petition God for this need. We desperately need a house to rent in Cherokee County. It's necessary for us to move our intake house there and we have not yet been able to secure a place to rent. ...PLEASE, if you know of anyone who has a home for rent or of any realtors who deal with rentals, we're getting to the urgent phase of this. We have excellent references with all our landlords. We KNOW that God will supply our need, He always has. But every prayer, lead and positive thoughts is greatly appreciated. God orchestrates so beautifully... Today we we were blessed with the donation of 100 bags of nonperishable food items!! A woman, whom we have never met, used tragedy in her life to bless the lives of others. Having lost her own daughter to addiction a year ago, she was compelled to reach out to a Faith-based recovery program and help in some way. She went to Google and God led her to our website. She and a friend organized a food drive specifically for His House Ministries an...d delivered the bounty to us this morning. Now that's how God works! They have already made plans to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for our folks and are looking for other ways to be a blessing to us. Today we felt that keeping all that food for us would be akin to gluttony; and so we were able to bless a ministry for the homeless by giving them 25 of the bags of food. Just imagine - this sweet woman could have become bitter over her loss; but instead, she let her heart for God remain open and He has used her (and her friend) to be a blessing to many others. We praise God today for His blessings. We have all but 2 beds filled; we have 100% employment and we are witnessing, on a daily basis, the growth of those who have come here to change their lives. Satan is always trying to attack us in one way or another; but we remain faithful to God knowing that none of this is possible without Him. See more

Been quite a while since we've posted. Things are great here at His House Recovery Residence. God is showing up in tremendous ways! In the past 2 1/2 months, 5 people have graduated the program and have been able to move forward in their lives in a positive direction as God has blessed their lives. Our men's houses are filled to capacity and we have a waiting list. We've had 4 ladies graduate which leaves us with room for more women to join us and get help. Through the COVID...-19 pandemic, God has been so gracious to us. All except 1 of our clients have been directly affected with their jobs; everyone else has been able to keep their jobs and/or get assistance through unemployment.As we continue to follow guidelines and our clients use proper self-care, we are confident through faith that God will continue to stay with us through these changing times. Thank you to everyone who supports us through prayer and those who stay in touch with us throughout the years and let us know how God is blessing their lives. You do this for you. We are humble servants of God who desire to see people released from the chains of addiction and ever growing in their walk with God and in their recovery. God bless you all! See more

Hard to believe we're halfway through January already. It's been a very busy start to the year for us and God continues to shower us with blessings! Our Ladies House is full and we have only 1 men's bed left. 2019 was a banner year for us as we graduated more people than ever in a one-year period. Seeing these folks move on in their lives and watching the continued restoration of relationships, financial stability and giving back to the recovery community simply blesses us be...yond words. And we give all the glory to God. Without Him, NONE of this would be possible. We're just people called to a work and providing people a place where they can work on getting well. So, as we continue to embrace this new year, we ask for your prayers. Pray for our clients - that each one would embrace a life of recovery and receive the blessings that follow. Pray for our staff - we're all in recovery and need prayer for strength, wisdom, compassion and, most of all, that we continually represent our Heavenly Father in a manner pleasing to Him.
