The sun is shining and spring is here! Some parks and trails are open. This includes Ben Burton Park, Dudley Park, the Greenway, Firefly Trail, and Sandy Cree...k Nature Center trails. All athletic facilities, ballfields, buildings, courts, dog parks, and playgrounds remain closed for the safety of staff and the public. Please continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene but get outside and stay active, both mentally and physically! Stay safe and stay well, Athens!

In response to the current health concerns and safety at this time, all Leisure Services Department sponsored events, programs, and classes are suspended until ...March 29, 2020. All currently scheduled private rentals at Leisure Services parks and facilities will continue as scheduled at this time, unless canceled by the renter. Our parks and facilities remain open for self-directed use. The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is working with Athens-Clarke County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and reviewing information from the CDC and Public Health to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
