A reminder about guidelines for in-person worship: COVID is still with us; things are getting better but we are not yet out of the woods. As an act of love and care for others, and also following the CDC guidelines, masks are required as is social distancing. Only every other row is available for seating and those will be marked off. And for now, there is no congregational singing. Keep the faith (literally) and practice patience and loving kindness. The end of the pandemic is almost in sight. And thank you!

Why are these children smiling? Because we are restarting in-person Children's Ministry beginning Sunday, April 25 as part of the 10:30 am service!! This will be a different experience but loads of fun, using Godly Play. It's a hands-on experience of God's wonder. The kids still come to church but then they will go downstairs to our Christian Formation space during the Gospel hymn for their own time to experience the stories of Jesus. They rejoin their parents after the Peace. Appropriately enough, our first story is the Good Shepherd and April 25 is Good Shepherd Sunday. If you have questions about our new program, contact Children's Ministry Director Cheryl Spessert at [email protected].

The Tide is IN EASTERTIDE, that is! If we didn’t grow up in a liturgical church, we might be tempted to think that by the time the chocolate bunny is gone, Easter is over. Thankfully, the Anglican tradition designates 50 days for this most important celebration of the Christian Church: the Resurrection of Jesus. In the rush to get packed up for Spring break, if your family barely got the Easter baskets filled and not much else in the way Easter celebrations, it’s not too late... to get creative! Here are some of our family favorites to get you started: 1. Create an Easter playlist together that you can pull up every year. Some of my top songs for the occasion: Happy Day, Shine Jesus Shine, See What A Morning, Joyful Joyful (from Sister Act) 2. Blow eggs and paint them in ways to commemorate family memories; add to your collection every year. 3. Compare the story of the Resurrection in the 4 Gospels and discuss the differences. 4. Invite neighbors to participate in an Easter activity with your family or take a treat to a shut-in. 5. Learn about Easter celebrations in other cultures. 6. Google and make Easter recipes from around the world such as Hot Cross Buns. 7. Make paper lilies (Youtube) 8. Take a nature walk and gather petals, seeds, leaves, etc. Make them into a creation collage and photograph all the designs - Cheryl Spessert - Children's Minister

Yes, this Christmas is different from what we've experienced in the past - sometimes it is even better!!! Enjoy this offering of love by our children through stories, drawings and song. And thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially Jennifer Cardinal and Reed and Mallory Halterman!
