We are excited to launch a newsletter! Use the form below to sign up to get emails from the Athens Area Horse Community Admin team. Each newsletter will feature local events, non-profit and business highlights and member spotlights. We are going to start with the admin team so you can get to know us. Excited to announce a tack swap fundraiser in conjunction with the Oct 31 Big Cheese Haunted HT, CT, and Dressage Show! Send an email to [email protected] to reserve your space! There is no cost for Hilltopper members to reserve a space just send us an email. The club will also have a table so if you want to donate tack - we will happily take donations! - Space is available for non-Hilltoppers at $10/spot when booked prior to event, $20/spot day of event (as long as space is available). - Set up starts at 9am - Table not provided and there is no electricity. - Tack from all disciplines welcome, but only horsey items. Horse trailers and large items allowed with prior approval. - Tents allowed if properly secured to the ground. - Inclement weather plan is the same as the show. If the show cancels, then the Tack Swap is cancelled.

Y'all check out what Maren is doing this weekend! If you don't know this amazing chick, she's a local 13YO who qualified for and is competing at US Dressage Nationals. She went into the competition rank #1 in the Children's Division. Go Maren!!

Mounted hunting club who actively hunts coyotes, fox, hog and bobcat is looking for: Groundskeeper/Road Whip/ Handyman. Located 20 mins outside of Athens GA and... within an hour of many hunting attractions like the Blue Ridge mountains and many lakes. Applicant should enjoy working outdoors and in a hunting environment. Jobs would include, but are not limited to, helping on a hunt day in the truck and grounds/hunt country maintenance. Part time at the club but additional work available if interested. Package includes private housing with utilities on the premises and a wage for 3 days of work. Pre-Register show only for our June Jackpot this Saturday, June 13th. Registrations close 12pm Friday, June 12th. Warm Ups at 4pm and PeeWee Barrels start at ...6pm. We will publish the draw on Friday evening so everyone can plan as needed. The covered arena will be available for warm ups and we ask everyone to please follow social distancing guidelines. We have decided to move forward with our show schedule as Jackpots to allow for flexibility for everyone. Saturday, June 13th NBHA GA 04 Sanctioned Show! Exhibitions starting at 10 Peewee to start at 1 with Open, Youth, & Seniors to follow...! Rollovers allowed. Show #2 not to start before 4 pm! $250 added to each show! We will allow people to sign up online for exhibitions and entries to reduce the crowd at the sign up booth. Online sign up will open on Wednesday, June 10th! We will do the draw the day of show! If you do not want to sign up online, you can do so at the show for exhibitions and entries!
