With high pandemic unemployment rates, it should be easy to find skilled employees, right? Wrong! As you plan for 2021 start now to recruit the leaders that you will need to deliver!

Is it worth spending time planning for 2021? The reality is that the current crisis has dramatically impacted all businesses, small and most small businesses, and start-ups. So the energy level might be down, and the attitude might be why Plan for 2021. My favorite quote is the one from Alice in Wonderland If you don’t know where you want to go, then it does not matter which path to take Believe me, as the owner of 2 businesses significantly impacted by this crisis so I... know the feeling. However, now is the time to visualize, reinvent, set the destination, and create a simple and agile plan to help you navigate the uncertainties to come. Nothing has impacted jobs in the hospitality and tourism industries with such totality as this virus has. When you think about the service industry, that's where the masses of jobs are in the economy. The hospitality and tourism industries have 330 million jobs worldwide. When you translate that into GDP impact, you're talking about an $8.9 trillion impact annually. ... If you look at the travel industry alone, earnings are $275 billion. That's $275 billion not being made, and money not being put back into the economy. This is a great article!

Share the Big Vision! As a leader, the responsibility falls to you to help create and share your organization's vision. Visions come in all shapes and sizes. Encourage your people to be part of the bigger picture and, more importantly, get involved in the vision. ... If you don't talk about it, it doesn't exist in the minds of the people who can help.
As our world molds and grows into the "New Normal," we should also use this time to re-evaluate our businesses and really consider the importance that leadership has on our business and our employees.
