Meet Jason Jones, Webster Combustion's Electrical Engineering Manager. Jason's role includes handling oversight of the control system designs, control panel l...ayouts, and regulatory compliance of the electrical systems. In addition, he assists with order processing and check-out of special orders, as well as with R&D projects relative to the control and safety functions of new products. He also maintains current, up-to-date, controls and systems product offerings and inventory of the electrical components that are required. Before starting with us, Jason worked within the burner, boiler, heat treating, and processing industry for his entire professional life, over the past 20+ years. He was a field service technician, systems integrator, installer, and code compliance delegate for 18 years before coming to Webster. Jason's skills and duties involved troubleshooting and commissioning boiler and power plant systems, combustion tuning, refractory work, re-tubing boilers, and uniformity surveys/tuning for heat-treating equipment. When asked about a memorable experience, Jason said, "My work has taken me across the globe and I have been able to be a part in many process applications from making Mylar balloons to producing electricity for a community. Being from Wichita, KS...I have also been deeply involved in the aerospace industry that helps to drive the area's economy and produces the majority of the aircraft that fly the globe, by helping these manufactures with their heat treating processes and aiding in the commissioning of some of the largest autoclaves in the entire world." #webstercombustion #employeespotlight #burners #powerplantsystems #electricalengineering #controlsystems #electricalengineeringmanager

Conditions feedwater to 0% CO2 and .005cc/liter of oxygen. How Does It Work? Fresh make-up water is fed into the deaerator through the inlet water connection. This water passes through the steam-filled heating and venting section. The water #temperature is raised and many of the undissolved gases are released. As the water passes through the assembly, it flows to a scrubber section where final deaeration is accomplished by scrubbing the water with oxygen free steam. This steam is induced through a stainless steel spray valve assembly which causes the high velocity steam to break the water down to a fine mist through a violent scrubbing action. The deaerated water spills over to the #tanks storage compartment for use by the #boiler, and the gases are vented to the atmosphere.
