While we are on the subject of great Christmas debates. Let's talk about stocking stuffers. In my childhood, Santa would put an orange, nuts, toothbrush and toothpaste in a sock for me to go along with the presents under the tree. Weary as I am of debates this year, I am opening the floor for feedback on one of the most controversial topics of the season. Artificial or "live" real tree. When enhancing your home life during the holidays, the smell of pine, cedar or fir will definitely get you in the spirit. On the other hand when you bring a "live" tree you also bring in all the messiness of nature including debris, insects and fire hazards. There is a chemical downside to both "live" and artifici...al trees, so that one may be a wash even if you go the extra mile for an organic live tree, the tree itself gives off chemicals meant to protect it from insects.
