This book... describes the investigation of the abduction of Meredith Emerson from a popular hiking trail in the mountains of North Georgia. She was kept alive for four days before being brutally murdered. Her killer was also responsible for the death of a couple in North Carolina and a nurse in Florida. Out of respect for the victims, you will not see crime-scene pictures. Learning how they died will be enough. John worked for thirty years as a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. This was his last case. Amazon has given this book a five star rating: Kindle Customer: This book is one of the best I’ve read in a long time. I could not put it down once I started reading.
