Our grantee partners each promote gender equality in different ways. We are here to level the playing field for women. Make Your Words Count: The Art of the OpEd is a 3-part virtual workshop designed to teach women the basics of writing an impactful OpEd, including choosing your topic of discussion, writing challenges and goals, and working with the media. In this pivotal moment in history, Jewish women and girls of Atlanta have much on their minds. Between the pandemic and protests, mental health and mommying, learning and living, Jewish Women's Fund of Atlanta (JWFA) wants to capture the challenges of this moment and provide a platform for reflection. JWFA is collecting essays for an anthology project that is open to all self-identifying, Jewish women and girls in the metro-Atlanta area. We have already received submissions f...rom women aged 17 to 71, and we want to hear from YOU! In the interest of honesty and discretion, all submissions that appear in print will be anonymous. Forgoing formal attribution will allow readers to focus on the narratives rather than the individual authors. Essays can be submitted online through January 31, 2021. According to a new report from the Women's Philanthropy Institute, women’s and girls’ organizations made up 3.4% of total charitable organizations but only accounted for 1.6% of overall charitable giving.
